First Day of Preschool- SUCCESS!!

So we decided to attempt a 'Mom's Morning Out' program this year with Kaitlyn. It's twice a week on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:00-12:00. Lately, she's been suffering from a little 'seperation anxiety', so we weren't too sure how it was going to work out. We've been working all summer at weening her down from two naps a day to one so she won't be too cranky in the morning. 

We prepared by going the week before to the orientation with Dad. She got to check out the room and meet her teacher- Ms. Brenda. The morning of, we woke up nice and early and had a nice breakfast and got our bag ready and got in the car:

 Just in case she needed it, I packed her paci (pony) in the bag for an 'emergency'. Unfortunatly, she found it before we even got into the room! That's was ok though, she walked down the hall and straight to her room. She walked straight to the dolls where she had left them the week before and never looked back.... *sigh*.

So Mikey and I left her before she could notice that we weren't there. We picked her up at noon and Ms. Brenda said she did great and really liked singing time! SUCCESS!

Family Visit

We went to Boston for a family visit. It was so much fun! Mikey and Kaitlyn were great on the airplane (as usual). We stayed with Grandma and Grandpa and Mikey and Kaitlyn were treated like a Prince and Princess! Kaitlyn woke up every morning to a 'Breakfast Buffet':

Grandpa found a picture of Daddy when he was 1 1/2 that we compared to Mikey.... see a resemblance??

We played in Grandma and Grandpa's awesome backyard... a lot! Kaitlyn loved to run and run, and she climbed on Grandpa's slide.

And after work, Grandma took Kaitlyn for a walk to visit the cows!

 

We went swimming with Grandpa in his pool:

Then cousins Ryan and John came over and we all went swimming!

Auntie Dina brought over their Jumpie to play!!!

Uncle Matt and Aunt Dina planned a special day for us at Crowes Pasture Beach on the Cape. It was SO cool!! The whole family went- Aunt Kelli and Uncle Dennis (and baby Poulos), Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Kevin. Even Auntie Dina's sister Tania and her husband Jake were there too. We played in the water where Kaitlyn and daddy found and collected hermit crabs.

The next day we had another great day of hanging out with family at Grandma and Grandpa's house and had a cook out. So much fun!
