A Winter 'ONE'derland..... Our boy is ONE!

The big birthday bash... the big shabang.... here it is. Our baby boy is a baby no more! And to celebrate, we did it the only way the Burke's know how: with a Pahhty! We took the winter theme and ran. I mean, RAN. We had snowmen of every kind. Tall, short and even melted. We had polar bear cupcakes and Artic Blast Punch. Penguins greeted our guests outside the door and when they entered, a 5 foot snowman said 'hello'! We had snowflake handprint crafts and to top it all off, Dad had snow in the backyard!!!! Yep, I said snow! When I said winter party, I meant winter! We had a blast and now our boy is one- smash cake has been smashed and presents are all opened and played with. I hope you enjoy some of our favorite shots from the party!!

This is what it looks like when Mikey thinks there is no more cake!

Kindermusik for Mikey

Mikey finally gets an event all of his own. While Kaitlyn is in class on Wednesday mornings, Mikey and Mommy go to Kindermusik class and he L.O.V.E.S. it! I don't know if it's the class itself, the other kids his age, the actual music part of it (he does love music and dancing) or the time with Mommy that's his favorite but he has really had a blast.

Main Street Children's Museum

We went on a playdate with some friends to another children's museum near the house and we love this one! We had so much fun and even did a Valentine craft. It was a wonderful way to spend the morning with my two 'love bugs'!

Valentines Day Party

Kaitlyn had a Valentines Day party at school so we made her very first set of Valentines to give out to her friends in her class. Very exciting stuff! As great as the regular old 'Charlie Brown- Be My Valentine' cards are, these would be her very first valentines and we had to do something special, right? I mean, she's got a whole lifetime ahead of her to get and give those cards. So, we settled on making boxes that were filled with goldfish snacks with a card that said 'Will you O'FISH'ally be my Valentine?' (I blame Pintrest for all of this!). We also made some 'Cupids Crunch' to bring to the class for the party and for her teachers. We made special Valentines cards for each of her teachers with handprint hearts-- Kaitlyn loved painting them!!

Ready to go to the party!!!
