Family Dinner

We had the most wonderful meal with wonderful friends a couple of weeks ago. It included taking our children out to dinner in public so you know I was cringing the whole time, but thankfully they did pretty good and that was even with real Italian spaghetti and sauce (it was SOO YUMMY!!). Thank you for inviting us to dinner Marinelli's!

Bedtime Stories

Our bedtime routine is pretty standard: bath, books, lots of cuddles and kisses and then bed. On this night, Kaitlyn wanted to help read Mikey his books (not uncommon), but this time she insisted that he sit on her lap and she rock him like a baby as she read him his favorite book: 'Goodnight Moon'. It was one of those super sweet moments- especially since he let her do it.... for about 3 minutes (until I called Mike to 'quick, grab the camera!'). I'm glad we still have those sibling bonding moments, and I can show them these pictures when they are fighting like cats and dogs someday (even though in my mind that will NEVER happen...)

Uncle Kebin's Visit

Uncle 'Kebin' (previously Uncle Smoochie) came to visit us for a week. Kaitlyn and Mikey were in HOG HEAVEN! (Uncle Kevin, probably not so much.... but he was a real sport!) We hung out at the pool mostly, went out to eat (a lot) and took a spontaneous trip to the mountains and got to hang out with some friends (shout out to Steve and Titi Ana-- Holla!) While there, we took Kaitlyn and Mikey on their first trip tubing down a river- Awesome, and ate some down home country cooking- Yummo. All in all, we had a great time with Uncle Kebin and Kaitlyn is still taking about him and missing him SO much. We can't wait to see him again SOON.

Splash Pad

I have some catching up to do (what have I been doing????) We had a fun playdate at a local park that has a splash pad. Leave it to Mikey to find the 2 square feet in the whole park that had mud- yuck! He is such a boy.
