Kaitlyn's First Trip to the Movies!

Kaitlyn had a very special date with Uncle Joe and Auntie Pat-- they took her to her very first movie: Finding Nemo in 3D! It was awesome! She made it through the whole show and even had popcorn, gummys and a whole apple juice all to herself! And after the movie we met Daddy for dinner at Steak and Shake where Kaitlyn got a strawberry milkshake and hamburger! How awesome are birthday months?

Guess who came!!!!!! Kaitlyn has been waiting and waiting (....and waiting....! We've been talking and hearing about this for weeks now. We live close to the airport so every airplane that has passed over our house Kaitlyn has stopped and said 'MIMI??!!!, PAPI??!!' and I've had to explain, No, not yet- 8 more days... 7 more days, etc...). So, the day finally arrived! We had the best visit. As soon as they got off the plane, Mimi took Kaitlyn to the toy store-- yes, you heard right, for a complete birthday shopping S.P.R.E.E. the likes of which she has never seen before. Kaitlyn had her little pink pocket book with her the whole time (I can't believe I didn't take any pictures!) which Papi had filled with 2 dollar bills before we had left. I mean, really? Is this girl spoiled?! She filled the shopping cart with the following: The Cinderella Movie (just released the day before- thank you Walt Disney!), a Cinderella doll with Gus-Gus side kick, Cinderella dress up gown, Rapunzel dress up gown, Rapunzel book, Rapunzel doll, Tinkerbell doll and kitchen set, magic wand and she picked 2 trucks for Mikey. I mean, REALLY. For the record, the dress up gowns haven't come off in a week. This did not include the new winter wardrobe that was in Mimi's suitcase for Kaitlyn that she got later that night. Just silly for the birthday girl. Kaitlyn and Mikey took lots of walks with Mimi and Papi as always (favorite things to do!).

Later that week, we took Mimi and Papi to the mountains in NC to go pick some apples straight off the trees and pick out some pumpkins. We had the best time-- we tried not to lose Mikey in the pumpkin patch! We made apple pies with our apples. We love our Mimi and Papi so much and can't wait to see them again soon.

FYI: Found this picture from last year of Mikey sitting on the exact same tire of pumpkins at the same pumpkin patch. Made me smile. Funny that his hair is even MORE orange (didn't think that was going to happen or be possible even!) 

Storytime at the Library

We've been going to Story Time at the Library on Thursdays lately now that the weather is a little cooler and we've been skipping the pool :( But the library is fun too!! Mikey LOVES the singing and dancing parts and Kaitlyn loves the reading parts. We even get to do a craft and get a hand stamp at the end! Fun times!!
