Fun Run!

It's that time of year again for school fundraising and this time, we have 2 kiddos 'in it to win it'! They've had so much fun in the weeks leading up to their 'Fun Run' with theme days at school. On the day of the run, mom sat outside in the rain for about an hour before they postponed it until the next day- wah, wah! But when they finally had their turn, they did great! Go Kaitlyn and Mikey!!

First Tooth Fairy Visit

It finally happened!! Kaitlyn's bottom tooth has been loose for weeks- I mean really loose (gross!). She even asked Mikey to give it a tug the other night with no avail. We were at a neighbors house and  our friends' mother was able to pull it out for her-- she was so so excited! The tooth fairy came that night and brought a sparkley ten dollar bill (she has a lot of fairy dust!!). Here's to Kaitlyn's new smile!

Future Falcon

Our local high school is Nation Ford High School- The Falcons. Mikey participated in their football camp this past summer and now that its football season, he is able to be a part of the 'Future Falcons' program. This means that he is 'assigned' a Senior player to be his buddy, and at every home game, he gets to run out onto the field after the football players. He also gets to play in a flag football game with the seniors during half-time of a JV game in the season as well as a bunch of other fun stuff like goodies and a t-shirt. Its a fun program that benefits the high school football program and Mikey has a BLAST! Goooooo Mikey!

SICK DAYS!!! Ugh. We've been so lucky so far in that both kids have never really been sick, and if they have felt under the weather, they've recovered quickly. First it was Mikey (threw up at school... on his teacher!), and then Kaitlyn got the stomach bug for 2 days. The next week, Kaitlyn came down with croup AND strep. Can we get a break?!! THE END FOR BUGS IN OUR HOUSE!!!! Please and thank you.

Slipper Day for Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn's teacher has a great incentive program for good behavior in the class room. She earns popsicle sticks that can be redeemed at the end of the week for reward tickets. Kaitlyn earned her first one and chose to wear slippers to school for the day! Proud of our girl-- keep working hard!

And.... it's arrived. Both of my big kids in elementary school, and so, so excited! It's going to be a great year.

Can it possibly be that time already?!!! Agghh! I'm so not ready for school to start: back to work, missing my kiddos, and Mikey starting Kindergarten?!! Someone stop time!
