Funny Kaitlyn

Just a glimpse of our girl:

After a long day of playing hard at Carowinds, I took the kids out to eat. Kaitlyn was having a problem staying awake and keeping her eyes open-- but those pancakes were SOO delicious!

I'll try not to post too many of these days- but we're having a blast at the local amusement park that is literally in our back yard. Makes beating the summer blues pretty easy! Here is an example of one of our days:

Spring Gymnastics Show

A bittersweet show this time for us for sure. This was our last performance/ day with these coaches and friends at this Gym. We've loved our time here, but we have decided to move a little closer to home for Kaitlyn and Mikey is moving on to different things (football, to be more specific!). The kids both did amazing at the show and I loved seeing them perform. Poor Kaitlyn had dental work done earlier in the afternoon and so her smile was a 'little off'- haha! I love it though!

Mikey Graduates!!

I officially have 2 elementary students in my home-- WHAT??!!! Mikey had his preschool graduation ceremony and this mama was a mess. I am so proud of him and all he has accomplished this year. And a HUGE thank you to his amazing teachers that worked so hard this whole year and especially for the special ceremony-- Thank You! During the ceremony, Mikey was voted by his teachers 'Most Likely to Become a Comedian' and 'Class Clown' We love our boy and we had a great day.

The kids walked into the room singing 'You Are My Sunshine' and handed beautiful Sunflowers to their Moms-- Yep, you guessed it. I needed a box of tissue at this point already!

Can I just say that my favorite part is when Mikey trips over the speaker on the way to his seat?! 

I mean. How cute are the cap and gown and glasses all of the children wore?!

Kate's Last Day of Kindergarten

It is finally HERE! Kate is done with her first year of school and did AMAZING. We are so so so proud of our smart girl. Great job my princess!!

We met Kaitlyn on the bus and blasted her with silly string to celebrate the end of school and beginning of summer!! 

Smarty Pants

We were enjoying an afternoon at the pool with family friends. The Marinelli's had houseguests that had come all the way from Germany to visit! They spoke fluent Spanish and German. That's when my Mikey boy pulled THIS from his hat to surprise us all!!

Wha?!!!!! Thank you Beansprout Academy and his teachers Ms. Tessa and Mrs. Shannon!! Way to impress guests!

Kindergarten Program

Kaitlyn had her end of the year kindergarten program the other day at school. She sang along with her class and all of kindergarten and first grade. It was wonderful. She had been practicing for weeks and was looking forward to it. I got Mikey from school and Nana Pat came too to watch her sing. It was so nice. Kaitlyn has come such a long way in the past couple of years from being so shy and performing in front of large groups. We are so proud of her and she is really coming into her own beautiful personality. We love her so much!
