Our local amusement park, Carowinds, transforms every fall into 'SCAROWINDS' and the kids and I experienced the fun for the first time this year (in VERY different ways!). During the day, the park is a fun filled pumpkin adventure. Along with all of the same rides, there is added entertainment that includes fun shows, foam pits, a pumpkin patch, cookie decorating and lots of other fun. The kids had a blast with all of the fun activities.
At night, the park reopens into a haunted, horror park.... seriously. I've never been before (as much as I love the high thrill rides, I have never been a fan of haunted fun) so I talked some friends into coming with me and it was such a fun.... and SO SCARY night!! As frightening as it was, I'll be back next year!
It's that time of year again! Each fall, we try to make a trip to the mountains to go apple and pumpkin picking. This year, we had BIG plans to do that but to make a weekend camping trip out of it... fun! Well, Mother Nature had other plans as a hurricane blew through and ruined our plans. No problem though- we have an amazing local pumpkin patch that we have visited in the past (and also throughout the year for their amazing produce) so we went to find our perfect pumpkins!
Part of Mikey's chance to be a 'Future Falcon', is getting to play a flag football game with the Seniors during halftime of a JV game. Mikey had so much fun with all of the big boys and he showed them how fast he can run! He also got to eat a hot dog dinner with the players after the game (that actually may have been his favorite part!!). Go Falcons!!
