Our little town of Fort Mill, SC is known each year for our Strawberry Festival. It is a great time and each year that the kids get older it gets more and more fun for our family! This year started on Thursday night with a 'Pick-n-Flick', where me and the kids (daddy got called away on an emergency with our townhouse- boo) went to the strawberry fields to pick our own yummy gems of goodness. Then we snuggled up for a picnic dinner and as soon as the sun went down, watched a movie in the park! The kids LOVED it (and were a little sad that I made them pack up a little early since they were falling asleep on my lap!!).
That weekend, on Saturday morning we went to the Festival for the real Strawberry fun. We went early in the morning and got there before the crowds (great idea Dad!) and had a blast! We rode all of the fun rides- and now that the kids are bigger, that meant more fun rides like the ferris wheel too! Mikey and Kaitlyn LOVE the rides (and have NO fear of heights- yikes!). We had a yummy lunch and the kids got their faces painted, strawberry ice cream and even cotton candy! It was a super fun family fun day! Can't wait until next year!

Meet Spider-Bat! For the boy who can't decide which is his favorite super-hero! (Needless to say, the red-headed, two-faced super-boy was a pretty big hit the rest of the day) :) |
