First Day of School

Happy/Sad day: First day of 'School' (Mom's Morning Out) for BOTH of Mommy's babies today. They were so excited. Kaitlyn woke up at 6:30 and for those of you who know my kids, you know that is a freak of nature! Not only did she wake up early, she got herself dressed and shoes on and exclaimed at the top of the stairs 'I'm ready!!'. Scared me half to death as I was enjoying a nice, quiet cup of coffee downstairs! Ha! Well, it was nice to know she was excited to go at least. She was so sweet with Mikey holding his hand walking inside the school and leading him in his room. I'm anxious to see how their day went and am missing my babies (it hasn't even been an hour!)....

Labor Day Weekend Fun

We decided to take a camping trip to stay in a friends camper in Hickory, NC this Labor Day weekend. The kids were so excited to go camping-- even Veda came along for the family fun! Kaitlyn said we were camping on a 'bus'!! We cooked out on the grill for dinner, had smores on the fire, took a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiked to see Linville Falls. We got caught in a rainstorm at a playground while visiting Blowing Rock, and we visited the Village where part of the movie 'The Hunger Games' was filmed.
It was such a fun family weekend, we will definitely go camping here again!! The kids can't wait....

 After taking these 2 pictures, we ran about 4 blocks through the downpour to the car-- it was awesome and we were all soaked to the bone! Mikey was laughing the whole time- at least he thought it was funny!

Stopped at a State Park for a quick hike and run...
