Stone Mountain

In January we met some of Mom's family in Georgia and played at Stone Mountain for the weekend. We got to play in SNOW!! The best part was that Uncle Spencer came too! We haven't seen him since Katie was a couple of weeks old. Grandma Joy, Grandpa David, The Moody's, Spencer and the Burke's all played together for the weekend!

One of the best things about this trip was that both of the kids are big enough to use the headphones in the car (Mom and Dad can listen to regular radio while the kids watch their movie on the 4 hour drive!!)

Peek-A-Boo with Emma

Getting ready to go down the BIG tube hill. It was SO high up and I couldn't believe how much the kids loved it! They both yelled AGAIN as soon as we were down the hill.

The kids took a ride with Grandma Joy and Grandpa David

Build-A-Bear

Katie's first trip to Build-A-Bear:

She picked the Panda-- 'because I just LOVE it!'

Stuffing the Panda and adding a heart

So far, this is the new favorite. Panda goes everywhere with us!!

CHRISTMAS 2013

We had the best Christmas EVER! It was such a blessing to see our children's faces as they came down the stairs to see if Santa had come. They were so excited! (Mikey was so excited he fell down the last stair trying to run into the living room). Santa brought TOO many gifts this year. They were truly blessed.

And then Daddy gave Mommy her gift:

A beautiful picture frame and the inscription reads : Walt Disney World, February, 2014
WHA?!! WHA??!!! Then he showed me a slideshow that he had put together that explained we are going to Disney World with Uncle Matt, Aunt Dina, Ryan and John for 5 days and then we will be going on a Disney Cruise for 4?!!! Let's just say- I'm a little bit excited (yes, I cried. A lot.)

For Christmas Dinner we went to Uncle Tim and Kiki's house. She put out a delicious spread!! We had such a good time.

After dinner we went home and enjoyed a fire show put on by the neighbors. Yes, you heard right, a FIRE SHOW!! How did you spend your Christmas evening?!!!

I'm putting it down in the books as the BEST Christmas EVER!!

Another glimpse into the life of.... MIKEY

For the last couple of days, Mikey has been singing the following song:

'A, B, C, D, E, F, G... I see Katie looking at me'

I've been trying to video him signing, but of course he stops as soon as I turn the camera on.

This morning, he and I are up early alone together (sharing a cup of 'coffee').

I'm listening to him sing it while he's sitting on the toilet:

'A, B, C, D, E, F, G... I see Katie looking at me'
'Katie, I'm your boy. You like my song? Yes! I lub you' (conversation with himself)

I love toilet talk in our house.

Just wanted to say.....

I have been trying to update these posts and do it in chronological order so we're all caught up and up to date. That being said, I just need to throw this one in today.
I love my kids. No really.
Today has been a rough day. I guess I'm coming down with a cold or something, but whatever it is, I feel awful. Like bad. Worse than I have in a long time.
Kaitlyn hugged me all afternoon and took care of me. She brought me juice and kept asking if I was ok. She sat with me and stroked my hair. Mikey joined in too and gave great hugs and kisses (with his runny nose).
My kids are the best.
Here's to feeling better tomorrow so I can repay them.
