Kiawah 2016

Last year, the kids and I were able to spend a week with a friend of mine and her two girls at Kiawah Island, SC. It was a great beach vacation and we are SO SO lucky that we were able to do it again this year! I sure hope this becomes an annual summer tradition-- so much fun with people we love!

Day 1 (Monday)-

We arrived at the beach and immediately unloaded the car and then rode our bikes to the deli down the street to have some yummy lunch. Then we threw on our bathing suits and rode our bikes down to the beach where we played for the rest of the afternoon and watched the sun set on the beach. Perfection.

Day 2 (Tuesday)-

We spent the day at one of the many pools the island community has to offer. This one happened to have big waterslides that the kids LOVED! They got so much exercise going up those stairs!

Day 3 (Wednesday)-

BEACH DAY! We spent the day kite flying and boogie boarding before heading back to a new pool to some pool-side lunch (drinks for the moms!) and to practice our dives!

DAY 4 (Thursday)-
Our last full day/night at the beach and we made the most of it-- I took 3 of the kids on a bike ride to the beach and we played and played and played. We made sandcastles and surfed in the sun. That evening, we drove to Folly Beach for an amazing dinner and then a walk on the pier where the kids watched a giant horseshoe crab be pulled out of the water. What a wonderful week of amazing memories.

Summer Rain

Exactly that.

4th of July 2016

This year we had a blast celebrating the 4th of July. We watched Carowinds' fireworks in our jimmies in the back of daddy's truck, had a fun pool party and bbq with the Marinelli's and then lit off our own amazing fireworks display while we watched from the pool! It all ended with a night-swim in our undies with glowsticks. It was an amazing weekend and so. much. fun!!!!
