Annual Trip to Daniel Stowe (December, 2016)
Nothing gets us into the Christmas Spirit more than hot cocoa and lights. We LOVE visiting the lights and sights at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. Santa also takes a break from his busy schedule at the North Pole and comes to visit. It's a magical way to kick off the season!
Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt (November, 2016)
I am so excited and happy to be a part of our neighborhood. This year, we planned a 'Thankful' Scavenger Hunt for a community project. All participants met at our common area and were given lists of items that could be donated to our local food bank (Fort Mill Care Center) such as canned food and hygiene items. We broke off into teams and all canvased the hood by knocking on doors to collect items (emails had already been sent to neighbors so many had already purchased and put out boxes of items for us to collect!). It was so fun showing the children how we can work together as a community to help others. In all, we collected over 547 pounds of goods to donate!!!! I am so proud to be a part of this neighborhood and look forward to collecting even more next year!

School Days (November, 2016)
This time of year is always so fun with the kids school projects.
Mikey came home as a Chief with his full Head Dress and Kaitlyn completed her very first Book Report (in the shape of a turkey, of course!).
First Grade Field Trip Fun (November, 2016)
I was so lucky to be able to chaperone Kaitlyn's field trip this year to the York County Museum. We had a great time- it was such a beautiful day and we learned a lot. The planetarium
seemed to be a class favorite! Thankful for moments like these.
Sick Day (November, 2016)
Poor Mikey is down for the count with Strep, but his sweet, sweet sister came home from school with this card for him. Sibling Love is the best!
Fall School Pics (November 2016)
Our 2 elementary school students (Ackkk!) I can't believe it-- but here they are anyway for your enjoyment :)
Halloween (October, 2016)
It's here!!! One of our favorite holidays! This year, the kids decided to dress together... as a Storm Trooper (princess, of course) and Kylo Ren (Star Wars is pretty big in this house right now!). We went to our annual 'Halloweenie' Event in our community where we had a hot dog dinner and awarded prizes before we started our trick-or-treating fun. What a fun night!
Birthday Girl (October, 2016)
7 years?? Has it really been SEVEN years??? What an amazing time it has been to see you learn and grow into an amazing and beautiful girl that we are so proud of!
I got to celebrate Kaitlyn's birthday with her at school by having a sweet birthday lunch. Later that weekend, Kaitlyn and I went to Uptown Charlotte to watch the 2016 Tour of Gymnastics Champions. It was so fun and mesmerizing to watch!
On Saturday, Kaitlyn had her Halloween Birthday Extravaganza!! (Unfortunately, I don't have too many pics of this year's birthday as I was having too much fun along with the kiddos!). We had SO MUCH FUN!!!
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET GIRL! We love you so much!
